Seen & Hurd Photography is based in Wheat Ridge, CO and serves the Denver Front Range community from Brighton to Littleton. SHP is proud to support the LBGTQ+ and BIPOC community, all are welcome in front of the lens. SHP strives to partner with immediate community for services and outreach opportunities such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the Teen Parenting Program in Jeffco Schools.
The SHP Experience.
I know that choosing your photographer can be an overwhelming experience! It seems everyone these days has a camera or a phone and is happy to take your pictures. I like to think that once you have chosen me, the hard part is over. Now you have a partner who is here to guide you every step of the way to the beautiful images you envision. My boutique experience is a custom and personal process from the beginning to the end. It is perfect for those that expect a personal and thoughtful touch. I only accept a small number of clients each month so you are guaranteed exceptional service, value, and attention.
When you inquire about a session you will always hear this question:
“How would you like to display your images?”
Why do I ask this? Because knowing if you are looking for a single statement piece, vertical images for an album or single prints to be framed will help create a better experience and result. And how do I do that? With four easy steps outlined below.
The Consultation
At the consultation, we find out what your goals are for the session. What images are most important to you, what time of year and what look you would like for your portraits. Then we will move onto what you want to do with your images. Do you want something above your mantel or a book to be enjoyed throughout the year? Would you like to use a gown from my exclusive client closet? Are you interested in hair and make-up added to your session? All of these decisions are talked about and finalized.
The Session
At the session, we put all our planning into action and create beautiful images. My goal is for each client to feel beautiful and truly seen. What does that mean? To be acknowledged and appreciated for who we are. Getting your photos taken with me is more than just clicking the shutter. It is designed to create memories, laughter, and beautiful images. I love providing a client closet and styling guides to help make sure you feel gorgeous, special, and we can achieve those once in a lifetime images. After we finish our session enjoy a personal snack box, perfect for a twilight picnic or the drive home.
Selection & Ordering
This is the fun part! This is where you get to see exactly what we planned come to life. You will receive an email with a custom slide deck outlining the selection and ordering process. You will receive a custom ordering deck with mock-ups of various keepsakes, packages, and options to purchase your whole gallery of images. The ordering deck will include a link to your personal gallery of watermarked images for you to select your images from. Since you only purchase what you love, the final number of images you choose is up to you.
Pick-Up and Thank You!
Once you finalize your selections and complete your purchase, any digitals you purchase will be sent to you within 48 hours. Then, approximately 4 weeks after your selections, I will set up a time for you to pick up your printed keepsakes. And be sure to keep an eye out for your thank you package! I so appreciate the time and trust my clients instill in me; I love spoiling them a bit.
Investment
The dreaded question - how much is this going to cost. I know that you took a look at my images, read about the experience and now you want to know how much all this costs. I find that this investment page is the most visited page on my site, and for good reason. Cost is the number #1 determining factor that people look at when choosing a photographer. As an artist I wish it wasn't so but the reality is that people ask what things cost more often than any other question.
The hard part of all of this is what I can't just put on a price sheet that shows you why hiring me is different. I can't show you how beautiful your images will be in person, you can't feel the texture of the prints, hear the crack of the albums as you open them, and see the true beauty of what I offer.

Images and art are purchased individually, and you only purchase what you love. Images and art are not included as a part of the session, keepsake credit is available with specific packages.
Seen & Hurd Photography wants all clients to leave the studio with all of their images. Full resolution digital images are available as an add-on to a product purchase and are priced on a sliding scale.
The average customer of Seen & Hurd Photography spends between $750 - $2,000 on their experience. Keepsakes: including albums, wall art, and folio boxes, begin at $400.

FAQs
When are you available for sessions?
I try to schedule sessions either Thursday evenings or on Saturdays. I can usually accommodate other days but try to keep things consistent for my family.
What is available in your client closet?
I have gowns, bodysuits, and skirts for women in sizes XS to plus sizes. I also have gowns and skirts for girls sizes 2T to 5T, as well as some options for babies 6 to 18 months. Wraps and other newborn accessories are also available.
Can I have the RAW images?
No, we do not give the RAW images.
How many pictures do I get?
This depends on what you purchase from your viewing and ordering appointment. The session fee does not include images.
How do I book a session?
Please send an email (seenandhurdphotography@gmail.com) or a text (719.387.1490) to begin booking your session. I can return phone calls after 4:30 pm. You can also complete a contact form on the contact page. Payment is due when you complete your contract.
I am interested in a maternity session. What is the best time for a session?
Congratulations! I usually recommend between 28 and 34 weeks. You want to have a noticeable bump but still feel comfortable enough to move around.
I am interested in booking a senior session. When is the best time for a session?
Congratulations on this accomplishment. I usually recommend booking a session between June and September. Be sure you know when your school requires images to be submitted for the yearbook. May and June sessions are perfect for spring flowers and cooler temperatures while August sessions have summer flowers and long golden hours. You can also book a follow-up mini session for prom or graduation images.
